We welcome Stephen R. Bough, who joined the firm in 1999 after
serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Scott O. Wright of the
Western District of Missouri. A 1997 graduate of the University
of Missouri Kansas City, Steve excelled in law school as the Editor-In-Ch

ief of the UMKC Law Review, a member of the law school's national
trial team, and a member of the Order of Barristers. He was selected
to the Dean's Honor List every semester of law school and received
many Dean's Academic Achievement Awards during his law school
career.
Despite his youth, Steve is a prodigious writer and has

published several articles on product liability and
federal court procedure in bar publications. Steve is admitted
to practice in state and federal courts in Kansas and Missouri
and is a member of
several bar and trial lawyers' associations. He has
previously served as chair or co-chair of the Kansas City Metropolitan
Bar Association's New Lawyer Committee, Special Projects Committee,
and Public Service Committee. He has twice received the KCMBA
Young Lawyer's Section President's Award and has been instrumental
in organizing the Missouri Association of Trial Attorney's Young
Lawyer's Section, where he serves on the Steering Committee and
is the Social Committee co-chairperson.
Ann E. Agnew joined the firm after clerking for the
Honorable Joseph E. Stevens, Jr., Senior District Judge for the
Western District of Missouri. Ann graduated with distinction from
the University of Missouri
Kansas City School of Law in May of 1998. She served as aliterary
editor for the UMKC Law Review, was awarded several Dean's Academic
Achievement Awards in her law school career,

and was selected to the Dean's Honor List every semester of
law school. Before attending law school, Ann earned a Bachelor
of Science in nursing from the University of Kansas where she
graduated with honors. As a registered nurse, she served as a
patient advocate and worked closely with people suffering from
serious illnesses.
As an active participant in legal and community affairs, Ann is
a member of many bar and trial lawyers' associations and is currently
serving as co-chair of the New Lawyers Committee of the Kansas City
Metropolitan Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in state
and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas.
